Cervical cytology samples cells from the cervix to screen for precancerous changes. We explain the test, the recommended screening pathway for your risk profile and the follow-up needed if results are abnormal.

Testing for high-risk human papillomavirus types associated with cervical precancer and cancer. We explain how HPV testing is used in cervical screening, how results are interpreted and when further testing or colposcopy may be needed.

We also offer the HPV vaccine.

A magnified assessment of the cervix, usually following an abnormal screening result or concerning clinical finding. We discuss whether colposcopy and directed biopsy are indicated and arrange assessment in a suitably equipped setting.

A thin sampling device may be used to collect tissue from the uterine lining when investigation of abnormal bleeding is required. We discuss indications, discomfort, potential limitations and when hysteroscopy or further evaluation is more appropriate.

Pelvic ultrasound can assess the uterus, endometrium, ovaries and adnexa in patients with pain, bleeding or reproductive concerns. We select an appropriate transabdominal or transvaginal approach and interpret findings with your history and symptoms.

Outpatient hysteroscopy helps outline the uterine cavity and investigate suspected polyps, submucosal fibroids or other intracavitary abnormalities. We assess suitability, explain the procedure and arrange it where clinically indicated.

Confidential, risk-based screening for infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and HIV, depending on symptoms and exposure. We discuss specimen collection, window periods, treatment and partner notification when relevant.

Clinical review of breast symptoms or screening needs, including examination when indicated and assessment of personal and family risk. We arrange appropriate breast imaging or specialist referral for suspicious findings.

Review of personal and family cancer history to identify features suggesting hereditary risk, including possible BRCA-related syndromes. When indicated, we refer for specialist genetic counseling before choosing genetic testing.
