6. Where Your Information Is Stored
Your health information is stored and processed within the United Arab Emirates. We do not transfer health information outside the UAE unless the law permits it and the required approvals are in place. Where a service provider handles your data, we require it to protect your information to the same standard and to keep it within the UAE unless approved.
7. How Long We Keep Your Information
- Medical records are kept for at least 25 years from the date of your last procedure or treatment, or longer if the law or your clinical needs require.
- Financial records are kept for the period required by UAE law [confirm period with your accountant or lawyer].
- Marketing preferences and website data are kept only as long as needed for their purpose, then deleted or anonymized.
Because of these legal retention rules, we may not be able to delete your medical records on request during the retention period.
8. How We Protect Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to keep your information secure, including:

- staff confidentiality obligations and privacy training;
- secure electronic record systems with access controls and audit trails [add encryption and backup measures used];
- secure storage for paper records and diagnostic images; and
- regular review of our security measures.
No system is completely risk-free. If a breach affects your information, we will act promptly to contain it and notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Where the law and good clinical practice allow, we will respect a young patient's need for privacy in a consultation and explain any limits on confidentiality.
11. Teleconsultations, Photos and Recordings
- Video and phone consultations are conducted over secure platforms that keep your data within approved systems. We do not record consultations without your consent.
- Clinical photographs or images are taken only with your consent, stored in your medical record, and used only for your care.
